If we summise that America's political activities
are tantamount to a clumsy attempt at Imperialism
via whatever (invariably bloody) means necessary,
    of course.

A pivotal key moment of course, is when Blair
has to bite the bullet (if you pardon the pun),
and succumb to one of two options: the public
partisanship of American foreign policy ad infinitum,
or the embracement of an United States of Europe.
The two are essentially diametrically and politically
opposed to one another; and Christian apocalypticists
love the latter, of course, because they've been
using hermeneutics to foretell the coming of such
    a thing for centuries.

I'd say the eventual unification of Europe is necessary in order to forstall the USA Imperium's world domination. In other words, Europe has to unite or be swallowed up. I'm sure Joan Collins is having fits at the thought as I type!!

As for the Christian apocalyptics, they are itching for a nuclear war because they think Jesus is coming back. They are dangerous as the tools they are, but not the main problem.

I'm reminded of something from Marx and Engels both, that if there is no socialism, that the next historical step can only be a revival of feudalism.

Since there has been no socialism, the various Fabianisms not withstanding, which are nothing but half-arsed attempts at reform rather than real social/economic change/evolution, we are in the stage of the growing Imperium, as Rome was swallowing up the rest of the world, and those who didn't want to be swallowed up formed combinations to avoid being eaten by Rome. Of course, that was the beginning of the end for Roman world domination.

Then when Rome really fell apart, that was the essential rise of feudalism.Think of al the nation-states and city-states that arose out of the fall of Rome. Babylon, she has Fallen!!!!

Sad, innit, how easy it is to pry the mental
machinations of the so-called 'most powerful
man in the world' and his cronies?

Allegedly, Bush is the first American president
    to possess a master's degree. I believe it's in
economics, or something similar. Considering the
bollox he made of his erstwhile career in oil,
all that - alleged (his ludicrous malapropisms
suggest otherwise, so the jury is out on this
    one) - education seems wasted.

As a (Nietzschean) 'good European', I would say,
that, the unification of Europe is desperately
needed if only to secure the (soon-to-be-fragile)
cultural identity which makes Europe such a
commendable cultural antidote to the cultural
wreckage which goes by the name of Americanisation.

It will be hard to combate. The fight - for some
countries - may already be over. I believe, though,
that Europe still has decades and decades of fight
    still left in her.

As for the apocalypticists, this is a reference
    to a book - a pamphlet, really - I espied a few
of years ago. In it, they claimed - quite
prophetically, as it goes - that the first stage
of Revelations would be the unification of Europe.

They actually coined an 'United States of Europe.'

    Zeusknows how revisionist this was.

As a NON-Nitzschean, I'm saying that Europe is going to HAVE to unite in order to avoid beind swallowed by the American Imperium. As for UK, it's just a pitiful what-once-was. It wants so hard to be "liked" by those who run the USA that it is willing to be the lap-dog for their imperial policies. Bitch-boy Blair(Miss Toni) wants to partake in the spoils from the destruction and plundering of the area where civilisation originated in the first place, Babilonia. Maybe France and Germany would like a piece as well, but they at least realised that they have to deal with the rest of the world, and being on the side of the biggest imperialist power the world has ever known is not going to help them.

Nope, Europe HAS to unite. Joan Collins is denying the inevitable. The world is in the developing stages of the new feudalism, the preparation for what happens when the American Imperiam collapses under its own bullshit.

I think he is talking about the rock stars who think that their opinions matter to the world. Alice is just saying he likes Bush, but he isn't going to start lecturing everybody on politics.

<font size="4" face="Arial">Germany and France (Russia too) already all got their spoils when Hussein was in power. Nice to see that you worry that Europe should unite but don't really care about Asia, Africa, or South America. Don't they matter to you? Yes, new feudalism. It's what will happen when our national identities are destroyed and we all cower in fear as you'd have us do. Really, you are grasping for straws in the dark, bro'. Don't you already know that the illuminati and the Masons run the world?
